How to live toxin free in a world surrounded by toxins

How to live toxin free in a world surrounded by toxins

First and foremost recognizing that we cannot possibly be 100% free of toxins. This isn’t meant to be demoralizing but rather to stop the feelings of perfectionism on this journey. That will only stress you out!

🌎Ingredients education;
Everyone has a 20 because as I said above we can’t be 100% toxin free. Knowing and understanding what ingredients are and how toxic they are will help you determine what you are willing to compromise on.

🌎taking a moment to breath
Stress is the biggest toxin and silent killer. This is why it’s important that when you feel over whelmed in this journey that you stop. You take a moment. And you BREATH!

🌎 prioritization
No one has it all together over night. It takes years  to transition on this walk. So it’s important to prioritize the things that immediately impact and have the hardest/worst impact like food and water. What goes in the body.

My rule of thumb when I started this was to start with what goes in the body directly (food, water quality, air quality) then what goes on the body (personal care and personal hygiene), then what is around the body in your environment (cleaning products ect) you want to limit where you have the most exposure.

🌎learning about how your body functions.
Our bodies are able to handle exposure to toxins. What they can’t handle is over exposure and toxin build up. Every change that you make impacts and lowers your exposure limits. So even when you feel like you’re not making any progress because yet another thing that you didn’t know was toxic turned out to be know that you are! Every little change you make is progress for your body and its health.

🌎trust resources and support systems
Finding a resource you trust to get information and advice from as well as support finding a space that understands this journey and its struggles can be monumentally beneficial to our mental health and stress limits on this journey. It’s ok to need support and help and it’s a blessing to have a space where you can find those things 🩶
