🌿 DIY CONDITIONING HAIR GEL 🌿Â
This is a powder recipe so that you have a shelf stable product. You’ll make a batch that will get you 50 uses. You’ll dissolve a small amount in water for each use and leave the powder in its own separate container so that you can keep it shelf stable.Â
The flaxseed will provide hold, the slippery elm and marshmallow root will provide slip and shine, the oat and aloe will help with conditioning, and the gum will help with conditioning and thickening it to be more of a gel like consistency for applicationÂ
38% Flaxseed (ground) 171gÂ
20% Slippery elm powder 90gÂ
15% Marshmallow root powder 67.5gÂ
7% Oat powder 31.5gÂ
12% Aloe powder 54gÂ
8% Guar gum 36gÂ
Per Use:
Powder: 9g
Water: 120–150 ml (½ cup)
Add powder to bowl and Slowly whisk in warm water. Let sit 10-15 minutes or until it forms a gel. Once the gel forms Apply to damp hair.
